When fielding questions from reporter Taylor Rooks during a panel discussion, multiple fans started yelling out the breaking news.

KD seemed a tad bit surprised upon Rooks confirming the news, as the 36-year-old even asked if it was real.

In view of the details of the trade: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick in the 2025 draft, and five second-round picks will be given to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the 2x champion.

All in all, it appears the 17-season vet is happy with the trade, as he called it a mutually beneficial deal for both him and the Suns organization.

"They wanted me to go. I'm glad they got what they wanted & I got what I wanted. Good luck to them," Durant said in an interview.

To note, this is now the sixth team Durant has played on since entering the league in 2007 as a No. 2 overall draft pick by the Seattle SuperSonics.

Even as Durant is approaching the twilight of his career, he certainly can still contribute MVP-like numbers with his off-the-chart scoring efficiency, as last season he put up 26.6 points (52.7% FG, 43% 3-PT), 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.

When looking at Houston's projected starting lineup heading into the 2025-26 season, they certainly appear to be a title contender on paper.
