In a revealing moment from the Netflix documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, she admitted she spent years covering up Lamar Odom's drug use while trying to hold their marriage together.
"I was such an enabler without knowing I was an enabler," Kardashian said.
That role went deeper than most people realized.
Kardashian said she would clean up hotel rooms after Odom's drug binges to keep stories from getting out. She described a constant cycle of protecting him, managing the situation, and trying to maintain his public image.
"I was fighting every single day... to make sure his image... was still that Lamar Odom," she said.
At first, she believed his drug use was recreational. That changed quickly.
Odom began disappearing for long stretches, and the situation escalated behind the scenes. The reality TV star said she didn't fully grasp how serious it was until it was already out of control.
The breaking point came when she finally had confirmation he was cheating. Up to that point, she said, she had suspicions but nothing concrete.
Even then, she stayed.
Their relationship, which moved fast from the start, unraveled just as quickly. Odom's struggles intensified following his trade to Dallas, and Kardashian said things spiraled from there.
There were overdoses. Private interventions. Attempts to manage everything without it becoming public.
Eventually, it became too much.
The former Revenge Body host said she was advised to give Odom an ultimatum: rehab or divorce. He chose to walk away.
Looking back, it's clear she was carrying more than her share. And now, she's finally saying it out loud.
