Khloé Kardashian is speaking out after her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, pushed back on parts of the story told in his new Netflix documentary.
And she's clearly not happy about it.
Kardashian appears in Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, revisiting one of the most difficult chapters of both their lives. That includes Odom's 2015 overdose and the aftermath, when Kardashian helped care for him and even paused their divorce during his recovery.
She says she didn't have to do it. In fact, she made it clear on her podcast Khloé In Wonder Land that she only participated as a favor.
"I'm not getting paid one penny," she said. "I did it for him."
That's why the reaction caught her off guard.
After the documentary dropped, the former NBA forward began doing interviews and questioning parts of Kardashian's account, including how much of a role she played in his recovery. He also disputed a claim involving his father and life support decisions.
That didn't sit well. Kardashian said she feels "played," adding that she spent years keeping those experiences private and only spoke because she was asked to.
"All I did was tell the story I was asked to tell," she said. "Now to act like I'm lying... that's crazy."
From her perspective, the timing matters. She believes Odom wasn't expecting the public reaction to the documentary and is now trying to shift the narrative.
For Kardashian, it's frustrating, because in her mind, this was never about reopening old wounds.
It was about helping tell his story.
