Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson is reportedly practicing with the Bahamas National Team ahead of the 2024 summer Olympics.
Deandre Ayton, Klay Thompson, Buddy Hield, and Eric Gordon were all seen together, while training camp has started.

The team adds a few new players to the roster as the Bahamas hopes to qualify for the 2024 Paris Games. Phoenix Suns guard Gordon has a mother from the Bahamas, while Philadelphia 76ers guard Hield as well as Portland Trailblazers big man Ayton were both born and raised in the Caribbean country.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Klay, whose father, Mychal Thompson is from Nassau, Bahamas, also had plans to join the team's roster as well.
Klay Thompson is set to join Team Bahamas for training camp in Houston this week, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. He is not expected to play in Olympic qualifier. Thompson is expected to test free agency in coming weeks.

The 2016 Team USA gold medal winner joined the Bahamian national basketball team for training camp, however, the Warriors guard may have a problem getting clearance to play. That is to say, he needs to get an official release off of the USA team, as well as it then being approved by FIBA.
Previously, Thompson, discussed his wish to play for the Bahamas at the beginning of last year's NBA season.
"That'd be cool, because my dad never got the opportunity," Thompson said, per the Associated Press.
To point out his dad Mychal Thomspon played 12 seasons in the NBA (1978-91), as a center for the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs, averaging 13.7 points and 7.4 rebounds. To note, Thompson won two championships (1987, 1988), while playing for the "Showtime" Lakers squad.
"The Bahamas is a place where my story cannot be told without it," Thompson, the son, added. "It's dear to my heart, so yeah, that would be sweet."
The four-time NBA champion was a key contributor at the 2016 Rio Summer Games, as he scored 30 points (7-for-13 3PT) vs. France in the final group phase game, in addition to dropping 22 (4-for-8 3PT) in the semi-finals matchup vs. Spain.
