LeBron James And His Wife Savannah Were Emotional As They Thanked The First Responder That Helped Save Bronny’s Life

During the new Netflix series, "Starting 5," which premiered Wednesday, viewers got an inside peek into the life of LeBron James and his family. This included both the NBA superstar and his wife Savannah reflecting on the time their son Bronny had a cardiac arrest medical emergency while playing basketball at USC.

In the show, the James family was seen visiting the USC locker room, thanking the first responder that helped saved Bronny's life.

The medical staff member has been identified as a woman named Erin, who is the one who performed CPR on Bronny in the summer of 2023.

LeBron introduced Erin to his mom, Gloria, calling her a "life saver."

"Shout out to the Man above for one, to the whole coaching staff, training staff, members of that program... They are the reason Bronny is alive now," James said about the USC faculty. "...And smiling and thriving and doing what any 19-year-old should be doing and that's living out their dream."

Savannah was seen shedding tears over remembering the moment of her son's health scare, as she expounded on how grateful she was to see her first-born child healthy now.

Notably, both Savannah's husband, entering into his 22nd NBA season, and son, who is a rookie, are now teammates, as Bronny was selected with the No. 55 pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 Draft.

That is to say, the James duo are the first father and son to share the court together in the NBA, after they made an appearance during a preseason game vs. the Phoenix Suns on October 6 (Bronny's 20th birthday).
