LeBron James is clearly not here for the 'Washed King' narrative that's been circulating among NBA fans.

LeBron: 'My Time is Limited'
Less than two weeks before his 40th birthday, James put up a historic 39-point triple double in an overtime thriller against the Atlanta Hawks. Friday night's matchup saw the superstar play 43 minutes to obtain his seventh triple double of the season. Sadly, it wasn't enough for the Lakers to overcome a 134-132 defeat.
James spoke about his ability to still play at such an elevated level this late in his career. He admitted that he was still happy that he was able to keep it up but lamented on his inevitable retirement.
"My time is very limited on how long I'll play," James said following the loss. "So, I'm just happy to still be able to play the game that I love."
LeBron Has Been Open About Hanging it Up
21 years in the NBA has been generous to James. Lest not we forget that Friday's game not only spelled another triple double for the king, but it also marked his 41,000th career point - the first in league history. But in recent years, the 4x champion has not been bashful about his upcoming retirement.
The subject came up recently after their latest victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Nov. 13.
"I said the other night, I'm not playing until the wheels fall off. I'm not going to be that guy. I'm not going to be the guy who is disrespecting the game because I just wanted to be out on the floor. That won't be me," James added.
Clearly James has not reached that point but considering the slow run he had prior to his triple double fans should appreciate these performances a lot more
