Is it real, or is it AI? Or maybe it's a LeBron James impostor. Odds are, it is indeed the King of the NBA himself and he really is carrying a large orange purse.

Nothing wrong with that — unless, of course, you're on the Internet.
So yes, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar was indeed buried online for carrying the purse. Apparently, he was doing so while in France.
When this happened, exactly, is anyone's guess. Just a few days ago, James was working out at Chris Brinkley's gym in New York City. So he must have gone straight from those workouts to France. Or maybe this photo was taken a while back. Who really knows, who really cares, and when can we rush to judgment, social media generally asks.
Anyway, large orange purses are indeed a questionable fashion statement. It's not like they're really "in." Maybe James is just supporting the Cleveland Browns, the closest NFL team to his hometown of Akron, Ohio. (Yes, the Browns are known for being orange. Not to mention a few other things, all of which are considerably less pleasant than the color of their uniforms.)
While it seemed most across the World Wide Web took shots at LeBron, some fans at least offered a little, ya know, perspective.
"How do we know that's his bag? He's holding it under 1 finger, not on his shoulder or in his hand," one Reddit user wrote. "I agree that the fashion tastes of athletes have gotten weird, but I need more context to know if this was his 'murse' or someone else's purse."
Great thought. But sorry, sanity has no place on the Internet. LeBron James was carrying an orange purse. So just go ahead and do your thing, information superhighway.
