LeBron James to pressure Cleveland Cavaliers free-agent moves with this tactic

LeBron James is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract and hit free agency this summer.

While Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reports the chances of James bolting are "slim," James will reportedly assess the Cavaliers' moves and apply pressure to strengthen the squad:

"James will take a wait-and-see approach while the Cavaliers tend to their housekeeping matters, league sources told Northeast Ohio Media Group.

He'll be the last domino to fall, if all goes as planned, league sources with knowledge of the situation presume."

Kevin Love and J.R. Smith will be free agents. Tristan Thompson and Iman Shumpert will be restricted free agents. Whatever happens come July 1 could swing how long of a deal James inks and what kinds of options he throws into his contract.

If, say, Love bolts in free agency and the team doesn't make a complimentary move with the leftover cash, could James leave again? It's doubtful, but crazier things have happened.

It must be nice to be the best player on the planet, and have near total control of your team.
