Lonzo Ball was caught wearing some else’s shoes and his Big Baller Brand dad had a surprising response

Tisk tisk.

Lonzo and LaVar Ball have been trying to push their Big Baller Brand shoes on everyone for the oh-so-low price of only $495. Well, the NBA Las Vegas Summer League would be a great venue to showcase the shoe most people would think, but Lonzo was caught wearing something else entirely:

You don't ever see Kevin Durant or LeBron James wearing someone else's shoes so why should he? Especially when there's no rule that says he has to wear a team shoe or certain brand during his games. And this is what Lonzo said about not wearing his own shoes that were branded just for him:

LaVar Ball was surprisingly cool with the decision as well as he sent this text to ESPN on Thursday morning:

"Lonzo is not forced to wear any brand and can play in any shoe he wants as long as it's OK with the NBA. This is what being independent is all about."

That doesn't sound like the gregarious and controlling LaVar Ball we've all come to know. In fact, he actually sounded pretty calm about the whole thing despite his son not wearing the shoe he specifically made for him. But the internet did not feel the same way. Here are some of the best tweets to roast the Ball duo.

Not a great look for the Balls here and hopefully Lonzo goes back to wearing the signature shoe and plays better. Otherwise, he's going to catch a whole lot more flak for his shoe wearing tendencies.
