The engagement is off for Los Angeles Lakers player Luke Don?i? and fiancee Anamaria Goltes. The two have called it quits while engaging in a custody battle.

TMZ first indicated that something was amiss with a report that Goltes had filed a petition seeking child support and attorney fees. Doncic then confirmed to ESPN that he had separated from his fiancée.
"I love my daughters more than anything and I've been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn't been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement," Don?i? told ESPN in a statement.
"Everything I do is for my daughters' happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can."
Don?i? , who made his NBA debut with the Dallas Mavericks, began dating Goltes back in 2016. He proposed in July 2023.
The couple welcomed their first child together, Gabriela, in the November 2023 as Doncic played for the Mavericks. They then welcomed their second child, Olivia, in December 2024 after the Mavericks traded him to the Lakers.
The birth of Olivia took place in Slovenia, the couple's home country. Doncic traveled to Slovenia to be present for the birth, and he missed games against the Raptors and Celtics. He returned to the United States in time for a game against the 76ers.
According to ESPN, it was in Slovenia that a disagreement between Don?i? and Goltes occurred. He left the hospital, but she called the police. A police report reviewed by the outlet revealed that officers "did not detect any elements of a criminal offense or a misdemeanor."
The NBA player filed an interim injunction in Slovenian courts in February in which he sought immediate contact with Goltes and his daughters. Goltes has since deleted all photos of them together from her social media.
