Luka Doncic Makes History During His First Game Vs. Dallas Mavs

LOS ANGELES —- During the Lakers' 107-99 win over the Mavericks, Luka Doncic recorded 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists, which means he is now the youngest player in NBA history to put up a triple-double vs. all 30 teams in the league (joining LeBron James and Russell Westbrook).

With the revenge storyline in full effect ahead of Luka's matchup vs. his former teammates, he certainly put on a show that had Dallas fans' animosity towards GM Nico Harrison grow even more.

Right from the tip-off, Luka came out firing, and every time he made a three-pointer, he made sure the Mavericks bench was watching.

To note, Doncic's former partner-in-crime, Kyrie Irving, led all scorers with 35 points, in addition to contributing seven rebounds, and four assists, while also getting three steals and two blocks (matching Luka's defensive stat line).

Following the win, Luka was asked by reporters if he was looking for closure vs. the organization that traded him.

"Closure is gonna take a while. It's not ideal. But, I'm glad this game is over. There was a lot of emotions. But, we go little by little and every day is better."

All in all, after seven seasons in Dallas, Luka has seemingly found a new home in LA.

With Anthony Davis currently injured, time will tell who ended up winning the blockbuster trade of the decade.

Notably, both teams will face-off once again on April 9, when the Mavs host Luka and the Lakers in Dallas.
