The Bucks announced Friday that their Oct. 23 home opener against the Chicago Bulls will move from 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. Central time. The change gives fans an earlier basketball game before the Brewers host Game 1 of the World Series that evening.
Milwaukee earned its first World Series appearance since 1982 by completing a four-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series on Thursday.
"The Brewers' return to the World Series for the first time in 44 years is a special moment for Milwaukee and sports fans across Wisconsin," the Bucks said in a statement shared on social media.
"Congratulations to the Brewers and the entire organization on this tremendous achievement, and we'll be cheering them on as they begin their World Series run."

MLB had not officially announced the starting time for Game 1 when the schedule change was reported. Moving the Bucks' game four hours earlier nevertheless gives fans a better chance to follow both teams — and potentially attend both games.
"The Bucks are proud to move our home opener to 3 p.m. in recognition of this historic occasion and thank the NBA for making this schedule change possible," the team added.
The Bucks won their own championship in 2021. Now they're helping Milwaukee turn its attention to another title chase.
After hosting Chicago, the Bucks travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers on Oct. 24. The Brewers will remain home for Game 2 against either the Cleveland Guardians or Tampa Bay Rays.
