Dillon Brooks' off-court issues didn't start with his recent DUI arrest.

According to a new report from TMZ, the Phoenix Suns forward was cited for reckless driving back in January after allegedly flying down a city street at 85 mph in a 45 zone. That'll get attention fast.
The incident reportedly happened just after midnight on Jan. 12. An officer claimed Brooks was driving at a speed that created "extreme risk" for a serious crash, especially with nearby businesses still open at the time.
In short, not a great situation.
Bodycam footage shows Brooks being pulled over and quickly realizing why. When he asked if it was for speeding, the officer confirmed it. Moments later, Brooks was cited for reckless driving.
"Anything 35 and over is reckless," the officer told him.
Despite the speed, Brooks wasn't arrested during that stop. He was ticketed and allowed to leave, though he's now scheduled to appear in court next month.
Then came the bigger issue.
Earlier this month, Brooks was arrested in Scottsdale on suspicion of DUI after police say he was swerving between lanes. Officers also claimed his car smelled strongly of marijuana.
Brooks denied drinking, and a breathalyzer reportedly showed a 0.0 BAC.
Still, the situation added another layer to what's been a rough stretch. On the court, Brooks has been sidelined since February 21 with a fractured left hand. He's expected to be re-evaluated later this month or early April.
