The New Orleans Pelicans are probably not going to make the playoffs for back-to-back seasons now, and the decision-makers in New Orleans are reportedly going to evaluate both head coach Alvin Gentry and general manager Dell Demps at the end of the season.

Even though the Pelicans made a huge trade-deadline move this season by acquiring DeMarcus Cousins, the team is still struggling to translate having two, top-15 players in the NBA to wins.
Moving on from Gentry after two seasons would be a very bold move for the franchise. Not giving Gentry a full offseason to figure out how to make the Cousins and Anthony Davis pairing work would be surprising considering how hard it is to integrate players into a new system in the middle of the of season.
The Pelicans have won just four of the their 11 games since acquiring Cousins.
