Shaquille O'Neal has finalized a long-term extension with TNT, securing a deal valued at over $15 million annually, according to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports. The extension comes as TNT prepares to license Inside the NBA to ESPN next season, marking a major shift in the television landscape for professional basketball. O'Neal's contract, which was set to expire, ensures the Hall of Famer will continue to be part of the iconic studio show alongside fellow analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.

While Barkley, Smith, and Johnson had already signed long-term contracts, O'Neal's future had remained uncertain until now.

O'Neal, whose net worth is estimated at $500 million, has cemented himself as a prominent figure both on and off the screen. His new deal with TNT places him among the highest-paid sports media personalities. In comparison, former NFL quarterback Tom Brady tops the list of sports media salaries, earning $37.5 million per year with Fox, as McCarthy reported. Barkley ranks second at $21 million annually, while ESPN's Stephen A. Smith is expected to sign a five-year deal worth $20 million per year.

Other notable media personalities such as Tony Romo and Troy Aikman each earn $18 million annually with CBS and ESPN, respectively. Additionally, Pat McAfee, known for his bold style, brings in $17 million annually through his deal with ESPN for licensing his popular show.
