It's been two seasons since we've had the pleasure of watching Ray Allen's masterful shooting stroke. And it sounds like his retirement may not be as permanent as we all thought. In an interview with the Hartford Courant, Allen said that he has been working out in hopes of attracting some attention from a team that might need him. He specifically mentioned making another run with the Boston Celtics with whom he won his first championship ring along with Rajon Rondo, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

He hasn't played since the 2013-14 season when he averaged about 10 points per game and shot 37.5 percent from beyond the arc. He played about 27 minutes a game and appeared in 73 regular season games and of course hit one of the most clutch shots in NBA Finals history. He hit a corner three in Game 6 of the 2o13 Finals to not only keep the Heat alive in the series, but help them win the series and the franchise's second championship as well as LeBron's first.

Allen still owns the record for most three-point field goals made and attempted in a career and has over 24,000 points to his name for his career. The 41-year old is notorious for keeping a strict workout regimen that would embarrass current players and so getting in shape would likely not be an issue for him. He also mentioned in the interview that he wouldn't mind going back to Milwaukee where he started his career and help their young core contend for a championship.
