The Atlanta Hawks were supposed to be a solid team this season even with the loss of Al Horford. The Hawks signed hometown hero Dwight Howard and traded away Jeff Teague to let Dennis Schroder become the starting point guard. They have some nice pieces, but haven't been able to pull away from their .500 record sitting at 17-16 right now.

With big man Paul Millsap looking like he'll opt out of his contract at the end of the season, the Hawks have placed him on the trading block in hopes of getting a return on him rather than just letting him go for free:
He's currently averaging 17.4 points, eight rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.6 steals on the season. The Hawks would likely look for another replacement at power forward or some picks instead and let Mike Muscala get a lot of those minutes.
