One of the NBA's most admired figures was in the Brussels airport during the terror attack. He's OK.

He assures everyone that he's fine.

A terrorist attack in Belgium has claimed the lives of at least 30 people and injured dozens more, and the terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the bloodshed. One well-known athlete survived the attack.

Former Atlanta Hawks center and Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo was in the city for a conference, but has assured everyone that is fine right now.

Here's what he said on Facebook:

"God is good. I am in Brussels Airport with this craziness. I am fine."

The four-time Defensive Player of the Year in the National Basketball Association was at Zaventem international airport when explosions rocked the facility.

Mutombo, who played 19 seasons in the NBA, now runs a foundation  dedicated to helping the people of Congo, and opened a hospital there in 2007.
