There are such things as DNP-CD or "Did Not Play - Coach's Decision" but what happened to Trail Blazer C.J. McCollum is a totally different story. It was a DNP coach's mistake. Because of a clerical error with the lineup, a perfectly healthy McCollum did not play Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

When the Blazers submitted their lineup sheet, McCollum was listed as inactive, instead of reserve Luis Montero. Coach Terry Stotts signed it without noticing the mistake, according to CSNNW's Jason Quick, and Portland tried to correct the situation, calling it a "clerical error."
That move potentially cost the Blazers a game as they lost to the Clippers 109-98. Coach Terry Stotts took the blame for the mistake and hopefully he learned his lesson.
