Patrick Beverley Flings Ball At Fan, Refuses To Answer Reporter Question

The Milwaukee Bucks and Patrick Beverley were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Indiana Pacers, and it's safe to say Beverley had a bit of a meltdown because of it.

The Bucks, playing without injured star Giannis Antetokounmpo, were routed by a 120-98 count in Game 6 — and if you root for Milwaukee, there wasn't a whole lot to see. In fact, sadly, the highlight sadly seemed to be Beverley's decision to call for the game ball from a Pacers fan after the ball made its way to the stands ... then angrily throw the ball back at the fan. It struck both the fan and the woman beside him.

The fan seemed perplexed by the ordeal.

But wait. There's more.

After the game, Beverley told a reporter that he wouldn't answer her question because she didn't subscribe to his podcast. He took an equal amount of grief from the media for both incidents.

Now, Beverley did seem to sort of apologize, posting to X that "I have to be better." We presume he was referring to the ball-throwing incident. But he still wants you to subscribe to his podcast.

For the record, when reporters asked Beverley about the incident he said, "Nah, don't worry about that." That, of course, was before he broke into his rant about only answering questions from reporters who subscribed to his podcast. This is assuming the world even knew he had a podcast.

He also asked the reporter to remove her microphone from his face and then took it a step further by telling her to leave the interview area.

As for the game, it was such a rout that Bucks coach Doc Rivers pulled his starters from the game with 2:32 left in the fourth quarter, his team down by 20.

So for the second straight year, the Bucks were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Interestingly, Milwaukee hasn't advanced past the second round since defeating the Phenix Suns for the NBA championship in 2021.

Beverley was acquired in February to try to help fix that. Instead, things went the other way.
