Paul George is not excited about playing small ball

Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel and team president Larry Bird have made it clear that Paul George will be playing at the power forward spot this season. George has dodged the issue up to now, but it seems it's quite unavoidable.

"Um, you know it's, uh, I was open for - to try it out," George said via phone while promoting his place on the cover of the NBA 2K16 mobile app. "It's definitely a change. It's something new. We'll see how it goes. As the season goes, it might be better for me to just be at my regular position. But I told them I was open to the situation and (we'll) see where it goes."

George has his concerns as is to be expected. He wants to score more points this year, but doesn't think that moving to power forward is the way to do it. Of course, Vogel and Bird disagree and have said that guarding bigger guys at power forward isn't as daunting as he might think. Either way, it sounds like there's a pretty big disconnect between the two parties and that might have bigger consequences on the court this season.
