Four-time All-Star immediately makes new team playoff contender with reported agreement

This is huge.

Paul Millsap has been an All-Star the past four seasons and he was looking to get paid like one this offseason as he became an unrestricted free agent. The Hawks likely weren't going to pay him very much because they have pretty much decided to rebuild when they salary dumped Dwight Howard last week. However, the 32-year old forward has found his payday elsewhere according to Shams Charania of The Vertical:

It seems that the Nuggets won't be able to just take him right off the bat as they will have to make a move or two in order to free up the cap space for this deal:

While the Nuggets will likely lose Hibbert and Gallinari, they have other great young pieces in Jamal Murray, Emmanuel Mudiay, Kenneth Faried and Gary Harris who should give him more help than he had in Atlanta this past season. Millsap averaged a career-high 18.1 points per game while also putting up 1.3 steals, a career-high 3.7 assists and 7.7 rebounds a game.
