These days, the Basketball Hall of Famer says his income looks considerably different, and that's at the center of a child support dispute with his ex, Princess Santiago.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Santiago is seeking $30,000 per month in child support for their newborn son, King Rafael Santiago Pierce, along with $100,000 in legal fees.
Pierce is pushing back. The former Boston Celtics star reported earning approximately $1.5 million in 2025. He also says his income is about to drop by nearly 50 percent once payments from his former employer, Fox Sports 1, end in September.
Pierce hasn't played in the NBA since 2017, and his employment with FS1 ended in 2021.
Then there are his existing obligations.
Pierce says he already pays $20,000 per month in spousal support and another $24,000 per month in child support. He also financially supports four other children.
That's $44,000 per month before adding any support for his newborn son.
Pierce says he has voluntarily been paying Santiago $5,000 per month and is willing to continue supporting their child. But instead of the requested $30,000, he's proposing monthly payments of approximately $4,145.
He also claims Santiago earns more than $400,000 annually.
The two aren't just divided over money. Pierce is seeking joint legal and physical custody, while Santiago has requested sole custody.
Pierce also pushed back against allegations concerning his personal life and alcohol use.
"I live a quiet and stable life with my girlfriend," Pierce said in the filing. "I do not drink to excess."
Now it's up to the court to sort through some very large numbers.
