With Kevin Durant heading out to the Bay Area to join up with the Golden State Warriors, the only major player left for the Thunder is Russell Westbrook. He probably feels a little betrayed that Durant would leave him to go team up with the guys who just beat them in the Western Conference Finals. That doesn't bode well for the Thunder who wanted those two to stay together forever.

While Westbrook has one year left on his deal, it is unlikely that he will re-sign with the team next summer and it looks like he will definitely not renegotiate this year.

Westbrook is 27 and has spent his entire eight-year NBA career with the Thunder. He is a five-time All-Star and averaged 23.5 points, 10.4 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game last season.
This will be the first year Westbrook plays without Durant by his side and we should all expect him to be a ravenous, rage monster that intends to destroy every rim he comes near. If Westbrook doesn't win an MVP this year it's only because someone else enters "God mode" or Westbrook gets injured.
