Former Orlando Magic centers Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard have seemingly never liked each other, as they have been going back-and-forth for nearly 20 years.

Recently Howard addressed the beef while appearing on The Gauds Show, mentioning that Shaq hasn't stopped throwing shade even though both of their NBA careers have been long over.
"He's Shaquille O'Neal." Howard, a 3x Defensive Player of the Year, said. "He's the most dominant center ever. But again, he keep saying stuff about me. So its like 'hey bro, do we need to go ahead and squabble?'"
Dwight Howard is fed up with Shaq constantly talking about him and says he wanted to show up at the TNT studio to confront him 😳

"I was finna roll up to the studio or wherever he at and say, 'what's the deal?'
"Yo, we done past the basketball, you not in the NBA, you done did your time, I did my time," Howard continued. "And we still going on with the pettiness. At what point does it stop... do you have a real issue?... If we got to fight it out, let's fight it out."
All of this prompted a response from Shaq himself, as the four-time champion took to X.
"The fact u think I care about u is funny, but I won't ever bring your name up again sensitive big man, a jokester that can't take a joke. Won't ever say your name again ever again. Have a great day and now u have been deleted. Have a great day."

That is, Howard then tweeted out, calling Shaq "insecure."
"I know you care. Cuz yo insecure a** been hating and talking s*** for 20 years. You [too] big to be this insecure. I hope you don't bring my name up again. 52 years old tweeting me. And still hating."
I know you care. Cuz yo insecure ass been hating and talking shit for 20 years. You to big to be this insecure. I hope you don’t bring my name up again. 52 years old tweeting me. And still hating. Now all this time you was joking. You always been jealous. Jealous of Kobe,…

Dwight then went on to call out Shaq for being "jealous" of some of his former counterparts.
"Jealous of Kobe, penny, dwayde. You jealous of Charles too. Go move around big lazy insecure a**," Howard said.
Then he even referenced a private message he received from Shaq awhile back.
"I still have that long 5 Paragraph direct message you sent me a couple years ago telling me that I'm not that great to hate. And you still doing it. It's 2025 grow the h*** up. and move on."

To note, just a few months ago both big men were arguing on Instagram, as they were apparently debating the "Superman" nickname, that each were called throughout their career.

It all started with a nickname. For almost 20 years, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard have been beefing over who is the rightful man to be called SUPERMAN 🦸♂️

All in all, it seems the animosity between the two has not died down, even though its's been nearly two decades.
And with Dwight Howard alleging Shaq is behind the scenes blocking him from getting opportunities, it appears they may have to settle this in the ring once and for all.
