Trae Young Had Message For Knicks Fans After Win: ‘Take Y’all A** Home’

After the Hawks won 121-116 over the Knicks on Wednesday night, Trae Young, who scored 23 points and dished out 10 assists, reignited a long-time rivalry with New York fans.

That is to say, as boos were aired out by the losing team's supporters, Young was heard telling the Knicks fans to leave Atlanta and go back to New York.

"I hope the Knicks fans find their way to the exit real, real quick," Young said to the crowd with a smile. "Booo. Take y'all a** home."

For those who don't know, the beef started in the first round of the 2021 playoffs.

In view of the Knicks fans' hatred toward Young, that was the first time since 2013 that they made the playoffs. However, it didn't last long as the Hawks star crushed their hopes by taking over in Madison Square Garden.

Young averaged 29.2 points and the Knicks lost the series 4-1. And ever since then, there has been an array of "F*** Trae Young" chants choreographed and shouted every time he takes the court vs. them.

Even considering Wednesday night's game was played in Atlanta and not New York, the Knicks fans were heard saying some not so nice things to Young.

"I know there's some real Atlanta fans in the building that were mad that [Knicks fans] started yelling and doing what they do," Young said in the postgame. "Obviously when that happens, I just try to win the game and at the end of the game, you want your fans to cheer the loudest."

Needless to say, it will be an unfriendly welcome for the three-time All-Star when the two teams face-off again on January 20 in New York at MSG.
