The Spurs star took to Instagram on Monday, urging anyone with information to contact authorities after his friend, 23-year-old Elijah Hoard, was reported missing in Chicago. Hoard was last seen February 27 at O'Hare International Airport and, according to police, may be in need of medical attention.

"Our friend Elijah has been missing from Chicago O'Hare since February 27," Wembanyama wrote. "If you have any information please reach out to local authorities."

He tagged several prominent Chicago athletes in the post, amplifying the message and hoping it spreads fast.

According to a missing person bulletin shared by Chicago police, Hoard was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and cream-colored shoes.

His father, Antwon, said his son had been in Chicago for 10 days and that his mood shifted near the end of the trip. He reportedly never checked in for his flight back to France.

The Spurs are in the middle of a strong season, sitting near the top of the Western Conference. But that clearly is not the focus right now.

Wembanyama is using his platform for something far more important.

If you have information, contact Chicago authorities. Right now, that is the only score that matters.
