Jimmy Butler Gets in Heated Nightclub Altercation

Butler's string of bad behavior continued on January 24, when he visited the Reserve Padel Club in New York City. In a fan-captured video, the All-Star guard can be seen getting into a heated altercation with a group of other club attendees.

Thankfully club security was able to restrain Butler and prevent the altercation from escalating.

Insider Gets Honest About Sage Between Butler, Heat

Last season there had been mutterings that the relationship between Butler and the Heat had hit a rough patch. And those suspicions were all but confirmed earlier this season when the organization suspended Butler for 7-game for repeated behavior that was considered detrimental to the team.

The thought around the league was the suspension was just a placeholder while the Heat sought out a trade partner but that did not happen. But upon Butler's return from suspension, he was on a short leash. And when he missed another team flight earlier this week, the team suspended him for another two games. With the February trade deadline approaching it seems increasingly more likely each day that Butler will not finish the season this season. However, NBA insider Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson says that is not necessarily the case.

"Pat Riley and Jimmy Butler met their match and are more similar and stubborn than they are different," Robinson said.

"Out of five high-ranking people that I asked whether Butler could come back, only one said yes, and the person who said yes said they only thought Butler would come back because despite his current circumstances, "Butler still likes it in Miami" and during his time away from the team "will likely realize no other organization in the NBA is putting up with his BS like Miami has including the Phoenix Suns and their head coach Mike Budenholzer."
