Duke has somehow found a way to make the Plumlee brothers decent NBA basketball players. The Blue Devils' most recent project was Marshall Plumlee who was more likely to go into the military than he was to play professional basketball.

However, it seems he will hold off on that dream to pursue another. Plumlee is currently playing in the NBA Summer League and has looked alright, but it seems the Knicks like him enough to give him some money.
Hearing Knicks will sign center Marshall Plumlee to multi-Year deal with full guarantee for year 1. Plumlee is on their summer league team.

As @Al_Iannazzone noted re: Marshall Plumlee. Knicks will use cap space because the contract is more than 2 years.

Not too many people might be excited to play with the Knicks, Plumlee talked to the New York Post about how anxious he is to play for them and really just be in the NBA.
"It's definitely been a learning curve for me,'' Plumlee said. "But it's an exciting process. I feel I'm getting better at it each day. It's different, being given new responsibilities I'm not used to having before. It's an exciting transition.''
As long as Plumlee stays in shape —- which won't be an issue for him —- and continues to play big he should be just fine and could end up lasting more than one season with the team. He averaged 8.3 points and 8.6 rebounds a game for the Blue Devils last season.
