Gasol has championship experience with the Los Angeles Lakers having won two rings with Kobe Bryant (in 2009 and 2010) and is a very Spursian type of player. He can space the floor for LaMarcus Aldridge and is a decent enough defender to stay on the floor and not be a total liability.

He averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds and 4.1 assists last season while shooting about 47 percent from the field overall and 35 percent from beyond the arc. He could make the Spurs Machine run even smoother with his passing ability as a big and should make life a lot easier for Aldridge and for Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker.
