10-time Pro Bowler opens up on tragic health news: “People have to work”

This is a troubling development.

Longtime Cleveland Browns star offensive lineman Joe Thomas has been one of the most consistent part of the Browns throughout his career, but he's getting up there in age and his career in the NFL is certainly winding down.

Being 32-years-old now, Thomas's injuries and age are starting to catch up to him he revealed in a recent interview.

Via ESPN:

"I definitely expect memory loss," Thomas said on "In Depth With Graham Bensinger." "I'm already seeing memory loss, and maybe that's just because of my old age or maybe it's football, it's hard to tell."

Thomas notes he's not sure what's causing the memory problems, but he does admit they're there, which is certainly very scary for any football player on the backend of their careers.

Thomas also mentions specific examples of the memory loss in the story, but he also points out that even if this came from the game he seems to be at peace with it because every career has their effects on a person.

Thomas has made 10 Pro Bowls as a member of the Browns and never missed a snap for the team.
