49ers Fans Concerned For Jordan Mason After Thursday Night Football Injury

Thursday Night Football featured an NFC West clash between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers needed a win badly coming in just 2-3 on the season.

49ers Fans Concerned After Jordan Mason's Injury

Although San Francisco's record leaves a lot to be desired, one thing to consider is the number of injuries that they have had to deal with. Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle have all missed time this season.

Another name got added to that list after Jordan Mason, who is replacing the injured McCaffrey, went down with a shoulder injury in the second quarter. He was listed as questionable to return leaving 49ers fans concerned

"We're going to suffer if Jordan Mason is hurt for real," one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Really hope Jordan Mason is alright and it doesn't spell doom for the rest of this lineup," another fan added.

Trent Williams Gets Honest About Niners' Injury Woes

The 49ers were expected to be a serious contender coming off their Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last season. But to this point, they have, for the most part, been surface-level contenders.

Some people believe that the 49ers' slew of injuries has been a large part of why they have underperformed this season. But their All-Pro tackle Trent Williams sees things from a different perspective.

"It's a couple of guys that we want to see get more action anyway. Hate that it had to come on the heels of somebody being injured, but this is when opportunities present themselves," Williams said earlier this season.

"Nobody would have known Jordan if a couple of guys didn't go down, and nobody would have known Brock if we didn't lose three quarterbacks in one year. So it's a blessing in disguise, and guys just got to be ready to step up and relish in the moment."

There is still a lot of this season left to be played. And as 49ers head coach Mike Shanahan continues to chase that elusive Super Bowl ring, you wonder if he could consider making any moves as the trade deadline approaches.
