The assailant — said to be a 17-year-old boy — was also shot in the struggle. The kid apparently was going for Pearsall's Rolex watch as Pearsall made his way to an autograph-signing session.
It resulted in Pearsall in the hospital, in supposedly "stable" condition.
Well, it seems Pearsall is more than stable. He's thriving.
According to a report from one radio show, Pearsall has already returned to the weight room.
"I talked to him yesterday, he was actually in the weight room," KNBR radio host Tim Ryan said, via Larry Brown Sports. "Thank God it's not worse than it was. ... I already know this, his street cred has gone up tremendously around here."

The 49ers are expected to keep Pearsall sidelined for at least the first four games. Miraculously, he may be ready before then.
His mother recently posted to social media about his condition.
"He was shot in the chest and it exited out his back," Erin Pearsall posted on social media, via David Lombardi of The Athletic. "Thanks be to GOD it missed his vital organs. He is in good spirits right now."
Yet somehow, Pearsall was able to walk to the ambulance after being shot.

Pearsall was selected out of Florida with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. We can say with a great deal of confidence that the Niners got a tough one.
