A surprising name just passed Jim Brown on the all-time rushing list

This ageless wonder just moved up on the all-time rushing list after 12 years in the league.

Frank Gore just overtook Jim Brown for ninth place on the NFL's all-time rushing list. And what's most surprising about that is the 12th-year Indianapolis running back is still producing at a time when the league's average shelf life at his position is about 2.5 years.

Regardless, Gore went into Sunday's game with Chicago at 12,293 career rushing yards, needing just 20 yards to surpass Brown.  He picked it up on a 16-yard run in the first quarter.

The workhorse out of Miami has been something of an anomaly as a ball carrier. He's managed to escape serious injury and miss limited time while going over 1,000 yards rushing eight times in his career.

He finished the day with 75 yards on 14 carries, helping the Colts to a 29-23 victory over the Bears.
