Prior to former New England Patriot and Florida Gator Aaron Hernandez being sentenced to life in prison, Hernandez appeared in 38 games for the Patriots and was a devastating combination with star tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Early in his tenure with the Patriots, Hernandez reportedly called NFL.com's Ian Rapoport over in the locker room and what followed turned out to be a lot more creepy years after.
Via SEC Country:
"NFL.com's Ian Rapoport told The MMQB's Kalyn Kahler about a conversation with Hernandez in the New England Patriots locker room that could have been a "red flag." Rapoport claims Hernandez said he would kill him if Rapoport ever treated him poorly."
"When we first exchanged numbers, he called me over and said, 'Hey I just want you to know, you're my guy. If you need anything, let me know. I will help you out if I can. But I just want you to know, if you f— me over, I'll kill you,'" Rapoport said."
With Hernandez later being convicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd, his comments towards Rapoport come off a lot more chilling.
Rapoport points out that he laughed about it at the time, but after seeing Hernandez was a suspect in the murder investigation Hernandez's comments came across quite differently.
