Aaron Hernandez Fiancee No Fan of Tom Brady Joke During Roast

The fiancee of the late NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez made it clear that she didn't care for the jokes made by Tom Brady during Brady's own roast, streamed live by Netflix.

"It's sad that I'm trying to raise my children in such a cruel world," Shayanna Jenkins told TMZ after the roast on Sunday, via People.

The outlet added that "Jenkins also expressed to the outlet that while many people still inquire about Hernandez's life and death, their daughter will be exposed to the jokes made on the Netflix special."

Brady wasn't alone in bringing up the name of Hernandez. So did comedian Jeff Ross, who arrived at the event sporting an O.J. Simpson jersey.

"I just came from hell," Ross said. "Aaron Hernandez says hello."

Brady, for his part, didn't mention Hernandez by name when joking about his early years with the New England Patriots.

"The bar for a Patriots tight end was pretty low back then. Block. Catch. Don't murder," Brady said during the roast.

Hernandez, of course, was convicted of the murder of Odin Lloyd in 2013, while Hernandez was still playing for the Patriots. He committed suicide shortly after being sent to prison.

The dynamics between Hernandez and his teammates, particularly Brady, was well-documented. For instance, ex-Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd once said (via the Daily Mail) that Hernandez's behavior generally annoyed Brady.

Apparently, Hernandez often showed up to practice wearing flip-flops and referred to legendary Patriots coach Bill Belichick as "Daddy." Per Lloyd, Brady got hot during one particular practice.

"(Hernandez) was out at the walk-through in flip-flops trying to run around," Lloyd said. "He was laughing — he was loud. And Tom keeps it serious in the walk-through. And Tom says, 'Shut the f*** up. Get the f*** out of here."'

Brady also supposedly once told Tim Tebow that Hernandez was a lot to deal with.
