Aaron Rodgers Blasts Haason Reddick's Agent Amid Jets Star's Contract Holdout

The New York Jets offense shined in the victory — but it was the defense that really put up a clinic. They allowed just three points in their beatdown of the New England Patriots. But one has to wonder just how much better they could be if the Jets had the services of their star pass-rusher Haason Reddick.

Aaron Rodgers Blasts Haason Reddick's Agent

Reddick is currently holding out because of a contract dispute with the franchise. However, Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers believes Reddick's is more the doing of his agent rather than the star lineman.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on September 23, the host asked Rodgers about an offseason report from The Athletic that suggested their locker room was in disarray. That's when the Jets quarterback suggested that the mole who planted that story was Reddick's agent.

He also hinted that Reddick may have possibly fired his agent — referring to him as his former agent.

"I would say the culture is about the opposite of what that article said," Rodgers said to McAfee. "I didn't read the article, but just reading that headline there, it sounds like it was written by Haason Reddick's agent, or former agent I guess, with the way they're trying to disparage our great organization."

Jets Have Survived Without Reddick

If you are late to the Reddick drama, the Jets pulled off the blockbuster trade to poach him from the Philadelphia Eagles this past offseason. And they did so knowing that the star lineman was disgruntled as he and the Eagles could not agree on the terms of a new deal.

Reddick and the Jets have also been unable to agree on a new deal. And as a result, he has held out of all team activities to this point of the season.

But the Jets have fared well without him. After a big win over the Patriots in primetime New York heads into Week 4 with a record of 2-1, and are sitting in second place in the AFC East. That has to feel especially good for die-hard Jets, after years of Patriots butt-kickings at the hands of Tom Brady.

They'll look to carry that momentum into Week 4 when they face off against the Denver Broncos.
