After arguably his best performance of the season in a 32-20 win over the Miami Dolphins, Rodgers' postgame comments only raised more questions about what lies ahead for the 10-time Pro Bowler.

Rodgers completed 23 of 36 passes for 274 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, showcasing that, despite his age, he still has the ability to perform at a high level. However, it was clear from his press conference that the future remains uncertain. When asked about his next steps, Rodgers didn't offer any firm answers.

"I just need some time away to think about my future in the game," he said. "And my future here if they want me to be a part of the next phase or they're ready to move on. Either way, I'm thankful for my two years here."

Rodgers continued to leave the door open to both staying with the Jets or moving on.

"But truthfully, I don't know. I'm looking for those conversations ... It feels good to be able to do some of the things the last five or six weeks I knew I was capable of doing, even at 41," he said. "But either way, I won't be upset or offended, whatever they decide to do, if they want to move on, if I still want to play."

Rodgers also acknowledged that he would be open to playing for another team if the Jets decide to move on from him, and if he feels he still wants to continue playing next season. His four-touchdown performance against the Dolphins was his first such game since Week 11 of the 2021 season, but based on his responses on Sunday, Rodgers no longer sounds completely certain about extending his career beyond this 20th season in the NFL.

With his future in flux, it seems Rodgers is at a crossroads, waiting for clarity both from himself and the Jets.
