During his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" podcast, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers discussed the Jets' Week 4 matchup on Sunday Night Football at home against the Kansas City Chiefs and casually slipped in a new nickname for star tight end Travis Kelce.

"You know, Mr. Pfizer, we kinda shut him down a little bit. He didn't have, you know, his like crazy impact game," the multi-time MVP said on the show.

Kelce, now known to a broad audience due to his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, has recently appeared in Pfizer commercials promoting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Of course, this looks to be all in good fun, though. The two NFL superstars were seen before the game chatting it up as Rodgers, who tore his Achilles in Week 1 just four plays into his Jets career, made it back with his teammates to watch the game from Jets owner Woody Johnson's suite.
Johnson, for what it's worth, is an heir to the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical fortune. You know, the same company who developed its own COVID-19 vaccine.

During the height of the pandemic, there was an NFL season. Depending on their vaccination status, there were different rules for players. Rodgers was one of the more outspoken players against it, at one point appearing on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast to discuss that, among other things. He also stated that there were ingredients in the vaccine that he was allergic to and stayed away from the Johnson & Johnson shot due to the clotting issues they presented initially. Ironically, the owner of the Jets and his family have shares in that same company.
Kelce's new nickname drew some laughter from McAfee, former teammate A.J. Hawk, and other members of "The Pat McAfee Show" cast.
Now, we wait for Kelce's "New Heights" podcast to see how he responds to this new moniker. And maybe more importantly, we wait for the Swifties to respond. They don't play around.
The Jets lost 23-20 to the Chiefs and Mr. Pfizer. They now look to take on a Denver Broncos team that was immunized against a winless season thanks to their Week 4 game against the Chicago Bears, coming back to win 31-28 for their first victory of the season.
