Lamar Jackson initially celebrated a Baltimore Ravens touchdown on Sunday night, but he stopped to shove a Buffalo Bills fan who had slapped his helmet.

The incident occurred in the third quarter after Jackson found new receiver DeAndre Hopkins for a 29-yard touchdown down the right sideline. The duo celebrated near the front row of the grandstands, which put them in reach of a fan in a red Buffalo Bills jersey.

This fan slapped Hopkins on the helmet, but the receiver continued walking. They then slapped Jackson on the helmet, who responded by shoving the fan with both hands. This sent the fan falling backward.

According to ESPN, security ejected the fan after this incident.

"I (saw) him slap 'D-Hop' (DeAndre Hopkins), but I wasn't really... He slapped me, and he's saying - he was talking - so I just forgot where I was for a little bit," Jackson told media members after the 41-40 loss.

"You have to think in those situations. You have security out there; let security handle it, but I just let my emotions get the best of me. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again. I learned from that."

Jackson continued and said that this unwelcome interaction with the Bills fans will not cause him to change how he celebrates touchdowns with his teammates.

"No, because I've never seen our fans do that, so no," Jackson added. "I'll probably do it again when we score a touchdown, but it's not nothing against the fans. I'm just celebrating when my teammates get a touchdown."

This touchdown gave the Ravens a 34-19 lead over the Bills on Sunday night. They lost 41-40 after being outscored 22-6 in the final quarter.

This shove was not the sole incident involving a Ravens player and a fan at Highmark Stadium. Replay also showed someone throw a bottle at running back Derrick Henry after he scored a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The bottle missed Henry. It bounced through the end zone after narrowly missing his feet. Henry did not appear to notice the projectile.
