The team announced the news on Tuesday evening and said that it will play at Camping World Stadium in 2027. According to team owner Shad Khan, all 32 NFL owners unanimously approved this move during the Annual Meeting in Arizona.

The reason for the change is relatively minor. The Jaguars are not demolishing EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville to build something new; the team is just focusing on some renovations to the property.

This work will take some time, so the Jaguars will host opponents two hours to the south.

The Jaguars fully expect the renovations to be complete by the start of the 2028 NFL season. The team also noted that it will have limited capacity at its home games during the 2026 season due to the ongoing work.

The historic stadium opened in 1995 on the site of the Gator Bowl Stadium. It hosts all Jaguars home games, as well as the annual rivalry game between the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs. EverBank Stadium also hosts numerous concerts and other events throughout the year.

"The Jaguars couldn't ask for a better scenario than Orlando and Camping World Stadium as our temporary home in 2027," Khan said in a press release.

"This couldn't have happened without the endorsement of the league and team owners who approved our plan two years ago for a renovated Stadium of the Future in Downtown Jacksonville, and we're especially appreciative of the support of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the process.

"We're also grateful to the team at Florida Citrus Sports that made this solution a reality that will benefit all, including Jaguars fans just a few hours away in Jacksonville. This is a win that everyone can celebrate."
