On Trevor's Instagram, he posted a celebration of his wife's 24th birthday: "Happy birthday to this beauty! Can't imagine my life without you," he said in the caption. "The more I know you, the more I love you! You're a gem. Thanks for all you do for myself and everyone in our life — you're incredible. I love ya."
But in the comments section of the post, a user wrote, "Hope God takes your man. Incompetent," adding trash emojis. "You're only in it for the money anyway."
After reading the comment, Marissa asked her followers to report the account. She has over 328,000 followers.
"I don't usually post this stuff but this is not okay.... Please report this account," she wrote on her Instagram story.
While Marissa spoke out, Trevor hasn't said anything regarding the comment.
Trevor and Marissa married in 2021 and had been dating since high school.
A former No. 1 overall pick, Lawrence's third season in the NFL has been a bit up and down. However, he played a great game in Week 11 against the Titans.
In his team's 34-14 win, the signal-caller racked up 262 yards and two touchdowns, plus 17 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Heading into that game, Lawrence completed 67.3% of his passes for 2,130 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
In Week 12, the 7-3 Jaguars will be on the road against the C.J. Stroud-led Houston Texans, who are 6-4 and one game behind AFC South-leading Jacksonville. A win for the Lawrence's Jaguars would build that lead further.
