Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is taking on new territory with a longtime sponsor. He will move into the world of golf after signing a multi-year extension with adidas.

According to a Wednesday announcement, the three-time Super Bowl champion will remain a key figure in the brand's campaigns. He and adidas will also join forces to release a golf line of apparel, which could include polos and hats bearing his name and Gladiator helmet logo if his past appearances at courses serve as any indication.
The prominent shoe brand did not provide any details about the items in the collection or the prices for each piece of co-branded apparel.

Mahomes has majorly expanded his endorsement deal with adidas as his NFL career has progressed. He first signed with adidas after landing with the Chiefs as a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and he has remained part of the athlete lineup while piling up dozens of wins.
He has released two signature shoes, the most recent of which is last year's Mahomes 2 Impact FLX training shoe with three different colorways.
Last year, Mahomes played a pivotal role in his alma mater, Texas Tech, signing a 10-year partnership. This included Mahomes co-branded apparel, a special Team Mahomes NIL deal, and his Gladiator logo on the Texas Tech uniforms.
"It's difficult to imagine an athlete who does a better job of capitalizing on the opportunities that come with his immense talent than Patrick Mahomes," said Aaron Seabron, General Manager of US Sports & Creation Center Portland at adidas when Texas Tech unveiled its co-branded uniforms.
"Working with Patrick to establish the 'Mahomes Brand' within adidas — through groundbreaking partnerships with Texas Tech and his Mahomes-branded Footwear and Apparel — is an incredible showcase of what collaboration between a leading brand and an elite athlete can accomplish."
This endorsement deal will now only further expand as Mahomes and adidas release the co-branded line of golf apparel. He will further highlight his love of the game while providing new apparel for golfers around the world to purchase.
