The Kansas City Chiefs' four-time All-Pro tight end surpassed Jerry Rice, arguably the greatest player to play the game, for most career postseason receptions in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Kelce entered Sunday's contest needing six catches to tie Rice's record, and pulled down his seventh reception before the end of the first half.

Kelce's eight-yard reception — his seventh of the contest, on seven targets — was the 152nd of his 21-game postseason career, surpassing Rice. Rice originally set the record, in his 30th career playoff game, as a member of the Raiders.
Prior to surpassing Rice, Kelce also set the league record for most career touchdown receptions in the championship game, when he pulled down a 19-yard touchdown to open the scoring.
How the Ravens adjust their coverage at halftime to try to slow Kelce may ultimately wind up determining if Baltimore can get past the Chiefs and into the Super Bowl.
Travis Kelce Carving Out Playoff Legacy
In his career, Kelce is rewriting the playoff record book. Thanks in part to being on the receiving end of passes from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce has now caught 152 passes for 1,760 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Rice still holds the all-time record for most career receiving yards in the postseason, with 2,245, and receiving touchdowns in playoff history, with 22. Kelce needs three more touchdowns to tie Rice's postseason touchdown record. But, the championship game was history in the making for Kelce.
Sunday afternoon against the Ravens, Kelce set the tone by catching a 19-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. Kelce has played a starring role, even before making history on Sunday, catching three touchdown passes over the Chiefs' last two postseason games.
