All hope for Johnny Manziel playing in the NFL in September just went out of the window

Terrible news for Manziel.

The NFL has suspended Johnny Manziel for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, per TMZ.

According to the report, the violation is not due to performance enhancing drugs, but it is specifically because of a substance abuse violation.

Manziel has spent a wild summer out on the town, partying, getting into reported accidents and allegedly punching people in the face.

Whether he gets a deal, or even a tryout at this point, is completely up in the air.

Let's just hope he gets clean.
