An NFL wideout brought a woman back to his room, and lost his job

Seriously, not cool.

The first episode of this season's Hard Knocks debuted Tuesday night, and the Los Angeles Rams are already having issues.

Head coach Jeff Fisher had just two rules coming into camp — be on time and don't have any visitors in your dorm. Wide receiver Deon Long evidently didn't think he was under the scope of one of the latter, bringing a woman back to his room. Long attempted to explain that he had no intentions of the woman staying, but Fisher said breaking a team rule was non-negotiable.

"We're going to cut you," Fisher said, adding that he'd handled a similar situation in the same way before.

"What part did you not understand? Sorry, but this is our world, man. We have rules and we have to abide by them. I thought I made myself really clear."

According to Mike Kaye, it wasn't as sensational as a story, as Long evidently dropped things off at his dorm.

We've seen things like this before, and it's just the unfortunate landscape of not being a star player in the NFL. Those guys get afforded things the practice squad players don't:
