Andy Reid and Taylor Swift Share Cool Moment Following AFC Championship

Tight end Travis Kelce and singer/songwriter Taylor Swift are always in the headlines whenever you hear chatter about the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the Chiefs are headed to their fourth Super Bowl in the last five years, and Swift's involvement with the team is also being mentioned — including the relationship she's developed with head coach Andy Reid.

The Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game. Following the game, Swift made her way to the field to embrace Kelce.

Then, during the coronation of the Chiefs as the AFC champs — as Reid, Kelce and other members of the team were on stage accepting the Lamar Hunt Trophy — there was a moment when Reid and Swift were seen pointing at each other.

Since Kelce and Swift began dating, Reid has supported the two. He even made jokes about setting them up together following the Chiefs' massive win over the Chicago Bears during the regular season.

There's some backstory, though.

During his time as the Philadelphia Eagles' head coach, Reid met the Swift family. He was the head coach in Philadelphia — a team Swift is reportedly a fan of — from 1999 to 2012. She's from West Reading, Pennsylvania.

In the AFC Championship Game, Kelce caught 11 passes on 11 targets for 116 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs scored 17 points in the first half and were scoreless in the second half; but their defense delivered, holding the Ravens to seven points in the first quarter and three in the fourth.

Now, the Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl, where they'll take on the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers defeated the Detroit Lions 34-31 on Sunday to win the NFC championship.

Swift has concerts scheduled in Tokyo, Japan, during Super Bowl weekend, but she'll be there in Las Vegas for the contest.

We now look to see how the Chiefs perform in the Super Bowl, where multiple sportsbooks have rated them as one-point underdogs.
