Antonio Brown is pushing back hard against the allegation that he tried to shoot and kill a man at a celebrity boxing event earlier this year. His attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, entered a not-guilty plea for Brown on Monday and made it clear he believes the former NFL star was defending himself.

"The actions he was forced to take were solely in self-defense against the alleged victim's violent behavior," Eiglarsh told TMZ Sports. "Brown was attacked that night and acted within his legal right to protect himself from an individual who had previously committed criminal acts against him. It's a privilege to represent him, and I am determined to ensure that justice is served."
Brown, 37, was extradited from the UAE last week and is currently in New Jersey while awaiting transport to South Florida, where the case will be handled.
The charges stem from the chaotic scene at Adin Ross' charity boxing card in mid-May. Video captured Brown grabbing a gun and running with it during the altercation. The alleged victim — Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nanatambu — previously told TMZ that Brown snapped at him and attempted to fire the weapon.
Brown maintains that was not the case.
If convicted on second-degree attempted murder, he could face a maximum of 15 years in prison.
Brown starred for 12 NFL seasons with the Steelers, Patriots and Buccaneers. He led the league in receiving twice and earned seven Pro Bowls before his career unraveled amid multiple controversies.
