NFL tight end Mark Andrews was involved in a car accident Wednesday morning on the way to the practice facility, yet no serious injuries were reported.

The Baltimore Ravens released a statement on the incident, stating that Andrews joined the team for meetings and will return to play in the coming days.

The three-time Pro Bowler also included a public safety driving announcement.
"I appreciate everyone's thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car."
Head coach John Harbaugh reiterated this when he spoke to reporters, saying that Andrews is lucky and the team is thankful that no serious harm came from this incident.

"Mark wore his seatbelt, that was an accident that happened, it was pretty significant I believe, and he came out of it with nothing, nothing at all, not a scrape. So wear your seatbelts," Harbaugh said. "We are thankful to God for him coming out of it safe, and for God protecting him during that circumstance."
All in all, Andrews has had to battle injuries last season, as his 2023 campaign was halted after he fractured his fibula during week 11 vs. the Bengals (November 16).
In view of Andrews' NFL career so far, the 28-year-old has cemented himself as an elite pass catcher. To note, the third round draft pick out of Oklahoma, enters the 2024 NFL season already with 4,867 receiving yards along with 40 touchdowns accumulated throughout 87 games played in six seasons.
