Brandon Marshall said this QB is elite, and we're still not done laughing

If he's elite, I should at least be a backup quarterback.

Whatever wide receiver Brandon Marshall uses for his quarterback rating system, we're going to have to see this for ourselves because he's far too forgiving with his latest comments.

Marshall appeared on ESPN's First Take, sans Skip Bayless, and provided the hottest take of the year.

To Fitzpatrick's credit, he did throw for nearly 4,000 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2015.

Is that enough to place him amongst the league's elite with Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or Drew Brees'? Of course not.

We've never seen Marshall back a quarterback as fervently as he has Fitzpatrick, and this may be the reason: unrealistic expectations.

Fitzpatrick has never appeared in a playoff game, and we find it hard to believe a 33-year-old quarterback coming off a career year can replicate that.
